
Roberto Mengoli is a professional composer and arranger from Italy, whose recent scoring projects include:
Call Me Crazy (Feature Film/Amazon Prime - Brodway Stars), South Bodies (Documentary/New Orleans Film Festival),
Ocean Brew (Short - Oscar/Bafta winner crew), Pam (Short/Omeleto), Cadillac: A Mobster Fairy Tale (Short - Boston Film Festival), Pierpaolo (Short - Assistant Composer), Metus (Videogame - Composer/Sound Designer).
Since 2022, Roberto has scored 25+ film projects as lead composer, creating great partnerships with every team he has worked with.
This allowed him to explore various narrative genres, from romantic comedy to aesthetic dramas.
Roberto has started 2023 working on Ocean Brew, a London produced short movie with well known actors and Oscar/Bafta winner crew.
He is currently working on a Feature film, and also to have numerous projects already lined up in 2024.
In 2023 he joined the Screen Music Program staff as Assistant to the Program Director.
In 2022 he was selected among ten students in the prestigious Film Scoring Intensive Program held by the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, recording one of his tracks with ORT (Orchestra della Toscana).

Classically-trained, Roberto has studied five years in one of the top music high schools in Italy, training as a professional pianist and percussionist. During those years, his music has been performed with young orchestras and ensembles winning several prizes. Then he continued his education at "N. Piccinni" Conservatoire - Bari, where he studied Electronic Composition, Composition for Media, Sound Design and Sound Art. In this thriving enviroment he created his first Art Installation Burden Sound, produced music for electronic albums and honed his musical skills.
Roberto began his career at the age of five as a professional percussionist player in a folk Italian band and has played thousands of shows, toured in all over Italy. Now he's studying Film Scoring at Guildhall School of Music in London with Dave Gale (Emmy Winner), and at "F. Venezze" Conservatoire with M° Biscarini (2020 Golden Globe nomination - Best Original Score).
